Insecurity: We’ll comb Abia forests, flush out criminals – Gov Ikpeazu




The Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has vowed to flush out all prison parts hiding in forests throughout the state as a measure to maintain the prevailing peace within the state.


The Governor, who spoke throughout an interview on the Authorities Home, Umuahia, the state capital, mentioned the first responsibility of the state’s safety outfit, Ebube Agu is to make sure that there is no such thing as a hideout for criminals within the state.

Responding as to if Ebube Agu can be armed, the Governor mentioned his administration would do the needful when the necessity arises.

In his phrases, “Within the first place, there is no such thing as a gainsaying that the forest might be combed and searched, that’s the major responsibility of the Ebubeagu. Our technique isn’t what I’ll need to share right here for 2 causes, One, I’ll need us to sit down in that Roundtable and I might not need to pre-empt them till after subsequent week we’ll now have a clearer image of operational particulars.

“However we’re going to get into the forest and flush out anyone that’s not presupposed to be there. Whether or not they’ll be armed or not? We are going to do the needful; we’ll do what we have to do. We are going to reply with equal drive to the problem we meet.

“So when the time comes, when the problem arises, we’ll rise to the challenges and we’ll do the needful to verify our persons are protected”.
