Insecurity: Umahi orders all native doctors to register with govt, police




The Osun State Police Command has denied the culpability of its personnel within the dying of a motorcyclist, Taiwo Kajogbola as alleged.


In a press launch signed by Yemisi Opalola, the Police Public Relations Officer for the command, and made obtainable to DAILY POST, the Police Command acknowledged that their consideration had been drawn to the video of an accident being circulated on social media {that a} police automobile killed a male motorcyclist named Taiwo Kajogbola.

The Commissioner of Police, Olawale Olokode revealed that what led to the dying of the younger man was a collision between him and an oncoming automobile.

In accordance with Olokode, “On the twenty fifth of April, 2021, at about 1800hrs, there was a hit-and-run motor and motorbike accident in entrance of Apara Memorial Excessive Faculty, Kajola alongside Ilesa Street, Kajola-Ijesa, involving a automobile and an unregistered lady-motorcycle, rode by the sufferer.

“The mentioned lady-motorcycle which was coming from Osogbo in the direction of Ilesa overtook a stationary truck and collided with an oncoming automobile from Ilesa.”

Olokode disclosed that after a discreet investigation, it was revealed that the sufferer was not pursued by the parked Police Armoured Personnel Carried as alleged.

He defined that the alleged Police automobile sighted near the scene and accused of not attending to the sufferer, was attributed to the earlier violent actions of the youths of Kajola and its environs to keep away from being attacked, in view of their earlier unfriendly antecedent in the direction of the police.

Whereas promising to make sure that the wrongdoer shall be made to face the wrath of the regulation for the offence dedicated upon arrest, Olokode known as on residents of the state to train endurance and supply the police with helpful data that may support within the apprehension of the wrongdoer.

“Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing hit-and-run driver”, he added.
