The Impartial Nationwide Electoral Fee, INEC has suspended the bye-election in Ekiti east.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Adeniran Tella introduced this whereas addressing newsmen in Omuo Ekiti.
Dr Tella defined that the suspension was based mostly on violence that characterised the train in some polling unit in Omuo Ekiti
He alleged that three individuals had been shot lifeless whereas a policewoman, corps member and INEC employees sustained gunshot accidents which necessitated the suspension of the train.
In response to him, the ballot was disrupted in some polling models in Obadore, saying that the protection of electoral officers, supplies and Safety personnel may not be assured.
In the meantime, the senator representing Ekiti South, Biodun Olujimi and a member of the home of Representatives, Mr Femi Bamisile have condemned the violence that marred the by-election.
In a separate interview, senator Olujimi and Mr Bamisile referred to as on the police to convey the perpetrators to e-book to make sure Justice.
