President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday turned down a query on the suspension of the microblogging and social networking service, Twitter, in Nigeria.

Recall that the Minister of knowledge and Tourism, Lai Mohammed, had final Friday introduced the indefinite suspension of Twitter’s operations within the nation.

Mohammed stated the federal government was compelled to behave due to “the persistent use of the platform for actions which can be able to undermining Nigeria’s company existence.”

The suspension of Twitter has continued to spark widespread outrage, with many Nigerians condemning the transfer.

Nevertheless, when requested on Come up TV when the Twitter ban can be lifted, Buhari declined to remark, saying he would “maintain” the reply to himself.

“I’ll maintain that to myself,” the president stated.
