Shatu Garko, the forty fourth Miss Nigeria has reacted to critcisms meted out on her after she defied Islam’s custom to take part within the magnificence pageant.


The 18-year-old queen, who grew to become the primary Muslim to win the pageantry since its inception broke silence on Friday, noting that she gained’t reply critics as a result of the crown is already on her head.

Her assertion comes a number of days after the Commander Common of the Kano Hisbah Board, Harun Ibn-Sina, mentioned that the Sharia Police would invite her mother and father for permitting her to take part within the pageant.

“Some people who find themselves not even Muslims mentioned that I’m spoiling the Miss Nigeria tradition. Truthfully, I don’t reply them, I don’t say something, I simply transfer on. The crown is already on my head so there’s nothing I can do.”
