Health expert harps on partnership for health sector development




The Director-Common of the Nationwide Institute for Pharmaceutical Analysis and Improvement (NIPRD), Dr Obi Adigwe, has described partnerships with key stakeholders in healthcare as an answer for the sector’s growth in Nigeria.

Adigwe mentioned this whereas responding to questions from journalists on
not too long ago developed methods on enhancing prescription drugs manufacturing in Nigeria.

The plan, in response to Adigwe is a part of the efforts of NIPRD at constructing a centre of excellence for Analysis and Improvement (R&D) of phytomedicines, prescription drugs and organic merchandise for the nation.

He revealed that: “Within the three years, NIPRD has partnered with governments and companies internationally, together with India, USA, South Africa, UK, Russia, Cuba, Ghana and Canada. That’s the reason we’ve skilled super development in drug analysis.

”The strategic plan will allow us stay targeted on our key mandate to enhancing the well being standing of Nigerians via high quality analysis and growth within the space of phytomedicines and different pharmaceutical merchandise.”

He defined that the strategic plan was developed via a bottom-up method, adopted by varied related institutional and stakeholders’ consultations and engagements.

He knowledgeable {that a} Monitoring and Analysis (M&E) plan for the monitoring, evaluation, collation, storage and reporting on the implementation updates of the plan for resolution making was additionally developed alongside related stakeholders.

The NIPRD Director-Common additional disclosed that the plan aligns with the imaginative and prescient of the second Nationwide Strategic Well being Improvement Plan (NSHDP II 2021 -2025) and the Medium-Time period Nationwide Improvement Plan (MTNDP 2021-2025) of the Federal Authorities of Nigeria.
