Former President Goodluck Jonathan has paid glowing tribute to his former boss, late Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, on the event of his twelfth dying anniversary.

 

In 2007, Yar’Adua and Jonathan have been elected as president and vice-president respectively on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Social gathering (PDP). Sadly, Yar’Adua died on Might 5, 2010, Yar’Adua and Jonathan was sworn in as president to interchange him.

 

In an announcement launched in the present day, Jonathan acknowledged that his former boss ruled Nigeria with sincerity and fervour for the folks. His tribute reads;

 

”Twelve years in the past, our nation misplaced a patriot, a selfless chief and a peacemaker who ruled with sincerity and fervour for the folks. President Umaru Musa Yar’ Adua is now not with us in the present day, however his strides in public life proceed to testify for him and maintain his reminiscence alive.

Like a superb athlete, he ran with ardour, stored the religion and completed the race. Right now we will look again and say, as President he received laurels for us when it comes to peace and different worthy causes he efficiently pursued.

He was a soldier of fact, dedicated to justice, fairness and different democratic virtues. He was a servant chief and a superb man; the sort that’s arduous to search out.
