Gunmen raid Bayelsa hospital, cart away valuables, cash




Two suspected armed robbers on Tuesday attacked Diete Koiki Memorial Hospital in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, carting away valuables and money.

The incident reportedly occurred early Tuesday morning round 3 am.

DAILY POST gathered that the robbers carted away valuables belonging to sufferers on admission and docs on name.

In response to Dr Okeleghel Awudumapu, who narrated his ordeal, the two-man gang took him unawares whereas getting back from his name room.

Reacting to the incident, the Medical Director, Dr. Emmanuel Fetepigi, who expressed disappointment, described the act as barbaric.
