Gunmen kidnap DPO in Nasarawa, demand N5m ransom

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have kidnapped the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Nasarawa Eggon Native Authorities Space of Nasarawa State, CSP Haruna Adulmalik.

 

The DPO in-charge of Nasarawa Eggon Division, was kidnapped round 9:30pm on Wednesday, June 22, alongside Bakyano-Arikya street whereas getting back from supervision of officers deployed to supply safety alongside the street.

 

It was gathered that the DPO bumped into the abductors who ambushed his patrol hilux and whisked him away. 

 

The DPO few days in the past held a safety assembly within the space with all of the stakeholders the place he expressed willpower to make sure farmers/herders have a bumper harvest this season.

 

The Nations reported that the abductors have contacted the DPO’s household and demanded for N5m ransom for his launch. 

 

The Overseer of Akun Growth space of Nasarawa Eggon native authorities, Hon Moses Anvah,who confirmed abduction of the DPO, mentioned they’ve made a proper criticism to the Commissioner of Police.

 

Deputy Chairman of Nasarawa Eggon Native Authorities Space, Engr Benjamin Kuze, instructed The Nation the DPO was getting back from a patrol round Bakeno/Arikya street when he bumped into the abductors.
