Gunmen abduct Ebonyi traditional ruler
Gunmen have kidnapped the normal ruler of Isu group in Onicha Native Authorities Space of Ebonyi State, HRH Ambrose Ogbu.
A household supply informed Each day Belief that the monarch, who’s Ezentum II of the group, was kidnapped, alongside his gateman, between 8pm and 9pm on Wednesday, June 22.
“He was kidnapped in his palace. The abductors got here with bikes of their numbers and ordered the gateman to name the chief out,” the supply mentioned.
“As chief was popping out, the abductors collected his Hundai SUV automobile key and instantly compelled him into the automobile and drove away. Proper now, no contact has been established with the household. We pray he returns again alive.”
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Chris Anyanwu, confirmed the kidnapping to NAN on Thursday, June 23, in Abakaliki.
“Sure, we’re conscious of the kidnapping of the normal ruler. It occurred in Isu, Onicha. The actual fact now could be that we’ve got but to get the complete particulars,” the PPRO mentioned.
