The Judiciary Workers Union of Nigeria Cross River State department has accused state governors of alleged try to truncate democracy.

The State Chairman of JUSUN, Comrade Asanya Ebong regretted the motion of the state governors over the non-implementation of monetary autonomy to judiciary.

“The Governors’ refusal to adheard to and implement the Government order 10 signed by the President which licensed monetary autonomy of judiciary is an try to truncate democracy

The Judiciary Workers Union of Nigeria met on the State Judiciary Headquarters with the Management of Nigeria Bar Affiliation Calabar, Ogoja and Ikom branches and their members had been with us on solidarity,” he mentioned

Consequently, JUSUN mentioned that to be able to compel the Governors to see causes they launched into a protest.

It was leant that the protesters had been obtain by the state deputy governor, Prof Evara Esu who was given a protest letter by the Chairman of the Nigeria Bar Affiliation, Bar Paul Ebiala for onward supply to the Governor, Prof Ben Ayade who was not obtainable when the protesters visited.
