Former NDLEA officer regains freedom from hoodlums




A retired official of the Nationwide Drug Regulation Enforcement Company (NDLEA) in Benue State, kidnapped by hoodlums, has regained his freedom.

DAILY POST reliably gathered that the retiree regained freedom a day after he was kidnapped in his home by the hoodlums.

The previous NDLEA officer was kidnapped after NDLEA officers arrested a 19-year-old suspected drug vendor, Mngunengen Achir, in Aliade, headquarters of the Gwer East Native Authorities Space of the State.

The 19-year previous suspect was arrested with 5.5 kilogrammes of hashish and 112 grams of Diazepam on October 6 in Aliade.

The hoodlums demanded for the discharge of the suspect in trade for the previous NDLEA officer, a request that was jettisoned by the company.

The previous NDLEA officer, nevertheless, was later launched unconditionally.

In keeping with a supply, “The retired officer has been launched and the suspect continues to be in custody.”
