Foreign loans: How some govt ministries are sabotaging Buhari – Senate President, Lawan




The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has accused some Ministries, Departments and Businesses, MDAs, of sabotaging President Muhammadu Buhari’s efforts to supply essential infrastructure in Nigeria.

Lawan mentioned some MDAs have refused to honour invites prolonged to them by the senate’s Native and Overseas Debt Committee.

In a press release by his spokesman, Ezrel Tabiowo, Lawan lamented that some MDAs have constantly refused to seem to justify initiatives listed to be funded by the mortgage requests sought by Buhari.

In line with Lawan: “Listing of some Ministries and companies of federal authorities that ought to have appeared earlier than Senate Committee on a mortgage and Overseas Money owed, to defend the debt request by the Government arm of presidency. These MDAs failed to seem.

“The Senate considers this angle as a sabotage to the trouble of the federal authorities to safe the loans and fund the infrastructural improvement that this nation desperately wants.

“Already, the Nationwide Meeting has permitted the mortgage request, however there may be want for justification.

“I’ll subsequently name the names of those MDAs, and we’re giving them only one week to seem earlier than the Committee on Mortgage and Overseas Money owed.
