Feminism is toxic. I don’t want to be part of that
Veteran Nollywood actress, Bimbo Akintola has described herself as a humanist moderately than a feminist.
The 51-year-old actress, who said this in an unique interview with PremiumTimes, at a film set in Lagos, mentioned feminism is a poisonous ideology.
“My ardour for the girl-child and the ladies doesn’t make me a feminist; I’m a humanist,” she mentioned.
“I don’t like this feminist thought as a result of I feel there’s a give attention to this wing of feminism that’s excessive. It’s poisonous. I don’t wish to be a part of that. I would like us to grasp that you just care about people in the event you say you’re a humanist
“Meaning each particular person: boy, woman, lady, man; all people. My area of interest is the ladies and the woman little one as a result of there’s a lot to do regarding this difficulty in Nigeria.” she added.
