Ex-ALSCON workers protest, threaten to sue BPE, PTAD over severance entitlements

Former employees of the moribund Aluminum Smelter Firm of Nigeria(ALSCON) in Ikot Abasi, Akwa Ibom State, within the early hours of Wednesday launched into a peaceable protest over the non-payment of their severance entitlements.

They blamed the Bureau for Public Enterprises (BPE) and the Pension Transitional Association Directorate (PTAD) for his or her predicament and threatened a lawsuit towards the federal companies.
