Alhaji Buba Galadima who is National Chairman of the Reformed-All Progressives Congress (R-APC), has said the President Muhammadu Buhari government has impoverished Nigerians so much that a slave seems much better in comparison.
The estranged political associate of President Buhari has accused the Buhari government of mismanaging the nation’s economy saying they “have no idea of how to run a modern economy.”
Galadima also said despite the pathetic state of the country, Nigerians who have had to endure the ineptitude of government for years, are not allowed to protest because it is an offense to do so under the current government.
He said, however, that the fact that Nigerians were still able to stage protests across the country shows a “Revolution is inevitable if the government continues in this way.”
Speaking on the nation’s debt profile and the government’s plan to borrow another $750 million amidst the economic recession, he said “only God will save us. These people have no idea how to run a modern economy.”
On the Minister of Finance’s claim that Nigeria will exit recession by the first quarter of 2021, he replied, “That is what Africans do when they face a situation that is beyond their comprehension. They tell you to pray. So, we are praying to God.”
On his expectations for the economy in 2021, he said, “I say we have not seen anything yet. This government will lead us to a situation where Nigerians will be eating from the dustbin because they have no clue of how to address the issues bordering the economy. This government is behaving as if we are a conquered people. Even slaves have better freedom than we do.”
On his candid word of advice to the president, he said,”He should do well to restore his image before the sunsets. With the way he is going, he may go down in history as the worst president Nigeria has ever produced. There is still time for him to reclaim his image.”
