Escaped inmate butchers pregnant woman to death in Imo state; deceased’s relatives in standoff with police as they ask to deal with suspect themselves (video)

Police and kinfolk of a homicide sufferer are concerned in a standoff over who will get to manage justice on the suspect.

The suspect was caught immediately, June 19, by locals after he allegedly killed a pregnant girl at No. 4  Nekede Previous Street in Imo State.

Locals tried to lynch him however police from Ihiagwa division intervened.

Throughout questioning, the injured suspect blamed his actions on what he smoked.

He was later seen being led out to a police van.

Nonetheless, kinfolk of the deceased from Ohaji Egbema refused to permit the police take the suspect. They insisted that the suspect be launched to them to allow them to cope with him as they deem match for killing their relative.

In accordance with members of the group, the suspect is among the convicts who escaped throughout the Imo jail break.
