Enugu govt issues stop-work order on illegal construction, development on Milliken Hill

The Enugu State Authorities has ordered these illegally growing and erecting constructions on Milliken Hill, Ngwo, in Enugu North Native Authorities Space of the state, to forthwith cease all building and growth actions on the hill and vacate the world.

The Cease-work order was contained in an announcement by the Commissioner for Data, Nnanyelugo Chidi Aroh, who harassed that failure to adjust to the directive will entice the complete wrath of the regulation.

Aroh disclosed that the eye of the state authorities was drawn to the huge unlawful building works and growth on the Milliken Hill, which he mentioned have resulted “within the destruction of its enviable panorama and exposing your entire setting to danger of degradation and erosion”.

He added that “you will need to state categorically, that the state authorities isn’t in any means concerned on this callous exercise, as all related companies of presidency, together with the Ministry of Atmosphere and the Enugu Capital Territory Improvement Authority (ECTDA), didn’t grant any approval as required by regulation earlier than the graduation of the event”.

In response to the Commissioner, “the perpetrators of this unlawful act are hereby ordered to cease all building and growth actions on the Milliken Hill forthwith and vacate the place, as the complete wrath of the regulation will likely be visited on anybody discovered violating this order.

“The state authorities is irrevocably dedicated to the safety of the pure ecosystem, biodiversity and setting of Milliken Hill”.
