EndSARS: Police arrest ‘Ifa priest’ at Lekki tollgate protest [PHOTO]



Law enforcement officials on Wednesday arrested a person dressed like an Ifa priest on the Lekki toll plaza in Lagos State.

He was arrested and his placard seized.

The arrest was a part of the police’s ongoing clampdown in opposition to EndSARS memorial protesters on the Lekki tollgate.

The EndSARS protests held in October 2020 have been in opposition to the actions of the now-disbanded Particular Anti-Theft Squad (SARS), a unit of the Nigeria Police Drive accused of police brutality.


Youths had gathered on the Lekki tollgate to specific their disgust for police brutality and unhealthy governance.

The protesters have been dispersed from the situation by gun-wielding troopers, which some folks believed led to the lack of lives.

This was adopted by the destruction of personal and public properties by hoodlums in Lagos, an incident that knowledgeable the newest warning issued by the police within the state.

In the meantime, some protesters have been arrested by the police.
