EndSARS: No cover-up, Lagos will release panel report – Sanwo-Olu

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu mentioned the ultimate report of the Judicial Panel of Enquiry and Restitution, shaped after the EndSARS protest in 2020, is being awaited.

On Thursday, he assured that the state authorities would make full disclosure of the report back to the general public.

The governor assured that his administration wouldn’t make an try to cowl up the findings and proposals.

Sanwo-Olu mentioned the report can be useful in strengthening true reconciliation and stopping the re-occurrence of the civil unrest.

The governor defined that the panel was set as much as probe allegations of rights abuse towards the police and decide the reason for coordinated assaults on Lagos.

The members embrace retired DIG Taiwo Lakanu (Police), Lucas Koyejo (Nationwide Human Rights Fee), Segun Awosanya (Segalink) and Oluwatoyin Odusanya (Residents Proper).

Others are Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa (SAN), Endurance Udoh (Civil society), Rinuola Oduala and Temitope Majekodunmi (Youths reps). Oduala stepped down in February, alleging “cover-up”.
