End SARS: Police warn against memorial protest



Kwara State Police Commissioner, Amienbo Tuesday Assayomo, on Monday, warned the youth and organisers of the proposed Finish SARS memorial protest within the state to shelve the concept.

The Police Commissioner, stated the command is not going to settle for any breakdown of legislation and order within the title of Finish SARS memorial protest.

“The scenario within the state for now shouldn’t be conducive for any procession, contemplating the safety scenario and the current cultists actions which have heightened pressure within the minds of some members of the general public.


“Subsequently, it cannot be affordable to permit any protest or procession,” an announcement by the spokesman of the command, Okasanmi Ajayi, in Ilorin said on Monday.

“The ugly incidents of 12 months 2020 Endsars protest, the place valuable lives of our folks and beneficial properties of the federal government and personal people had been viciously destroyed, continues to be contemporary in our reminiscences,” the assertion added.

The command, subsequently suggested dad and mom and guardians to name their youngsters and wards to order by warning them to not be lured into any protest because the command is not going to fold its arms whereas the present peace within the state is jeopardized.
