Electronic transmission of election results: Gbajabiamila advises INEC, NCC




The Speaker of the Home of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has urged the Unbiased Nationwide Electoral Fee (INEC) and the Nigerian Communications Fee (NCC) to work collectively to conduct credible elections in Nigeria amid the digital transmission of outcomes.


Gbajabiamila disclosed this whereas briefing newsmen on Tuesday in Abuja.

He stated INEC was empowered by Nigeria’s legal guidelines and the structure to conduct elections, whereas the NCC has the mandate by way of know-how.

“INEC is empowered by our legal guidelines and the structure to conduct elections, and NCC has the mandate by way of know-how and capability and all of that.

“So they should work collectively for us to have credible elections,” Gbajabiamila stated.
