Ekiti will give priority to training teachers in public primary schools – SUBEB boss, Prof. Akinwum




The Chairman of the Ekiti State Common Fundamental Training Board (SUBEB), Prof. Femi Akinwumi has stated the state authorities would proceed to provide topmost precedence to the coaching and retraining of academics in public main colleges within the state.


Prof. Akinwumi gave the reassurance in Ado Ekiti whereas declaring open a 10-day coaching programme organized by the Common Fundamental Training Fee (UBEC) along with SUBEB for 120 academics newly employed beneath the Federal Lecturers Scheme (FTS) within the state.

He disclosed that the federal government has since realized the significance of capability constructing to the output of academics in public colleges, and
Ekiti SUBEB along with UBEC has educated over 13,800 academics within the final eight months.

He lauded the administration of Governor Kayode Fayemi for paying over N7.3 billion counterpart fund to UBEC protecting the interval of 2014-2020 which in line with him gave the state entry to funds for infrastructural improvement and coaching programmes beneath the UBEC/SUBEB partnership.
