Division of State Companies (DSS) has denied reviews that it tortured Sa’idu Afaka, President Muhammadu Buhari’s driver, to dying.
On Wednesday, in an announcement by its spokesperson, Dr. Peter Afunanya, the DSS stated the report by on-line information medium that it detained and tortured Afaka to dying is fake and deceptive.
The DSS added that its normal working precept, coupled with its subscription to democratic ethos, wouldn’t enable room for torture, or human rights abuses of any type.
The assertion, entitled, ‘President’s Driver Not Detained Or Tortured By The DSS’, reads: “The Division of State Companies (DSS) denies the deceptive information by Saharareporters that it tortured Sa’idu Afaka, the President’s official driver to dying.
“Whereas the stated driver was by no means arrested or detained by the Service, it’s a identified incontrovertible fact that it doesn’t torture suspects. Its suspect dealing with methodology is often in compliance with the tenets of legal justice administration system and democracy.”
The Secret Service recalled that the Presidential Spokesman, Garba Shehu, had on April 6, 2021, introduced the passing of Afaka after a protracted sickness in addition to the condolences of the President to his household.
In the meantime, on that foundation, the Service urged most people to ignore “the pretend information spewed by the web platform”.
