The Chief Whip of the Senate, Sen. Orji Kalu, has urged safety businesses to make sure the rescue of scholars of Abia State College (ABSU) who have been kidnapped on Thursday.

The yet-to-be-confirmed variety of college students have been kidnapped whereas transiting on a bus on Okigwe-Uturu Street.

Kalu, in a press release issued on Thursday in Abuja, described the incident as devastating and evil.

He counseled Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia and Hope Uzodinma of Imo States for his or her efforts towards rescuing the victims from the criminals.

The previous governor of Abia referred to as on the residents of Abia and Imo states to be vigilant, steadfast and peaceable, stressing that the protected launch of the kidnapped college students remained paramount.

Kalu tasked the federal government in any respect ranges to work harmoniously in making certain the immediate and protected launch of the kidnapped college students.

“The kidnapping of scholars of Abia State College by unidentified hoodlums alongside the Okigwe-Uturu Street is completely condemnable.
