Defence chief to meet serving, retired military officers over South-East insecurity

Performing Assistant Director, Military Public Relations, Lt. Babatunde Zubairu, stated this in an announcement on Wednesday.

The CDS will preside over a safety assembly with serving and retired senior navy officers within the South-East geopolitical zone.

The parley was convened to profer lasting options to the prevailing safety threats within the area.

“The safety assembly shall be attended by prime senior navy officers from Defence Headquarters, Abuja”, Zubairu added.

There have been a number of assaults on safety personnel and amenities within the South-East leading to deaths and destruction.
