Death toll rises to 8 as LASEMA boss says collapsed Ebute Metta building was sealed for demolition but occupants refused to move
The demise toll from the collapsed three-storey constructing on Ibadan Avenue, Ebute Metta, has risen to eight.
The LASEMA DG, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, stated the constructing was dilapidated and had been sealed for demolition, however occupants refused to evacuate.
Sadly, the constructing gave means on Sunday night, Might 1, whereas occupants had been at house.
Oke-Osanyintolu stated the demise toll now stands at 8 and 22 folks have been rescued up to now.
