Chelsea billionaire owner, Todd Boehly appoints himself as interim sporting director and chairman of the club’s board

Chelsea proprietor, Todd Boehly has put in himself as interim sporting director and chairman of the membership’s board after the membership confirmed the departure of Marina Granovskaia and Bruce Buck.

The Blues have introduced that Granovskaia, who oversaw Chelsea’s recruitment beneath former Roman Abramovich, will comply with ex-chairman Bruce Buck in leaving the Stamford Bridge membership. 

The American billionaire will take over Granovskaia’s position in an interim capability, with Chelsea intending to search out “a full-time alternative”.

The brand new co-owner was named as chairman of the board, with eight different appointments to Chelsea’s management workforce confirmed.

A Chelsea assertion launched on Wednesday morning mentioned: “Boehly has been named chairman of the board of Chelsea FC efficient instantly.

“The announcement contains the departure of Marina Granovskaia, director of Chelsea FC.

“Boehly will function as interim sporting director till the membership names a full-time alternative, persevering with the membership’s work in the direction of its targets through the present switch window.
