1000’s of youths, girls and leaders of Yoruba race are at present occupying some streets in Ibadan in demand for Oduduwa Republic.

DAILY POST correspondent, who ismonitoring the procession, stories that the protesters are at present on the entrance of Mapo Corridor in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The protesters are led by a Yoruba group, “Ilana Omo Oodua”, clamoring for self dedication.

The group is led by Professor Banji Akintoye, a former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The protest, which was supposed to start out round 9.am on Saturday, couldn’t begin till 11.am resulting from heavy safety presence on the entrance and round Mapo Corridor.

The protesters having sensed heavy safety presence later mobilized to the entrance of Mapo to start the protest.

One of many leaders of the group, Bashorun Kunle Adesokan maintained that it was time for Yoruba race to have their very own nation.
