The Nigerian navy eradicated high leaders of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) and scores of fighters in Borno in a significant offensive.
Two commanders Amir Abu-Rabi and Mohamer Likita, and dozens of their bodyguards and fighters, have been killed.
Whereas Abu-Rabi coordinated tax assortment on behalf of the ISWAP within the Lake Chad axis, Likita was amongst controllers coordinating assaults on navy formations.
The aerial assault that took them out focused at three main ISWAP hideouts at Kusuma, Sigir in Ngala and Arijallamari in Abadam Native Authorities Areas.

“Current assaults at Damasak, Malam Fatori, Monguno, Dikwa and Marte axis have been coordinated from the areas. The bombardments have pushed the surviving and wounded terrorists to Jibularam and Sabon Tumbu riverbank areas.”
In one other operation, Nigerian troops and Civilian JTF operatives ambushed terrorists on the Gubio-Magumeri axis.
