Veteran Nollywood actor, Chiwetalu Agu, who was arrested by the Division of State Companies for interrogation, has been flown to Abuja as a part of investigations for allegedly inciting members of the general public.

The actor was first arrested by the Nigerian Military on October 7, 2021, round Higher Iweka in Onitsha, Anambra State.



The military had come out to say it arrested Agu for soliciting assist for the separatist group, Indigenous Folks of Biafra.

He was subsequently handed over to the DSS for investigation and prosecution.

Nonetheless, a relative of the Nollywood actor informed Punch that the household had been denied entry to him.

The relative, who wished to stay nameless due to the sensitivity of the case, stated Agu was first moved from Anambra to Enugu after which to Abuja.

He stated makes an attempt to see him in Abuja had been rebuffed by the DSS.

“We spent two days making an attempt to establish his whereabouts. We had been later knowledgeable that he was moved to Enugu after which Abuja.

“We heard that the thought is to maneuver him away from the South-East. We now have made efforts to see him, however the DSS has not granted us entry. Even the attorneys haven’t been allowed to achieve him,” the relative stated.

Agu, who has starred in a number of motion pictures, together with ‘Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story’, which is now displaying on Netflix, has been a identified supporter of the Biafra wrestle.
