Some gunmen with AK-47 rifles and suspected to be herdsmen on Tuesday night killed one individual whereas two others sustained gunshot accidents alongside Osogbo/Ibokun highway, Osun State.
It was gathered that the gunmen intercepted the bus travelling alongside the route and began capturing on the folks whereas attempting to flee. One individual died whereas two others sustained bullet harm.
It couldn’t be ascertained if the gunmen had been robbers or kidnappers, a police supply instructed DAILY POST.
The incident occurred round 7:30 pm beside Aje Bamidele village in Obokun Native Authorities Space of Osun State.
The spokesperson of Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola instructed DAILY POST on Wednesday, that some models of safety operatives have launched a manhunt on the attackers.
She added that the Font Response Unit (PRU) Joint Process Pressure and Amotekun operatives are combing the forest.
“The one that was shot lifeless has been moved to the morgue whereas others who sustained accidents have been handled within the hospital.
“We couldn’t confirm if anyone was kidnapped from the scene, however our males are in pursuit of these gunmen.
“The Police, JTF Font Response of the police and the lads of Amotekun have been combing the forest to arrest the suspects.”
