BREAKING: Ex-Chief of Defence Staff, General Joshua Dogonyaro is dead




Lieutenant Common Joshua Dogonyaro, a former Chief of Defence Workers throughout the regime of the late Common Sani Abacha, is lifeless.

Dogonyaro died on Thursday morning at The Jos College Instructing Hospital.

The 80-year-old was reportedly admitted in The hospital folloawing a short sickness.

His Physique has been deposited at Air Pressure Hospital in Jos, Plateau State.

Joseph, first son of the deceased disclosed this to the Information Company of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday.

“Daddy has been sick for a while till yesterday when he had a stroke and we rushed him to the Jos College Instructing Hospital (JUTH) for medical consideration.

“Sadly, early this morning (Thursday), round 3.00am exactly, he breathed his final.

“His demise comes as a impolite shock to us as a household. We’re going to miss his love and heat as a grandfather, father, brother, uncle and supporter,” he mentioned.

Joseph mentioned that the household was attempting to deal with the shock of the final’s demise and would focus on the funeral preparations quickly.

He described his father as “a Common who was so devoted and dependable to the nation, Nigeria.”

“He was a Common who had no bias thoughts as a detribalised Nigerian. He served this nation faithfully and recognized with all Nigerians and Africa as a continent.

“We and Nigerians are going to overlook him having served humanity on this nation and Africa as an entire, ” Joseph added

Dogonyaro was enlisted within the Nigerian Military in 1964 and was commissioned Second-Lieutenant within the Nigerian Military Armoured Corps, 1967.
