BREAKING: Court remands masquerade custodian, Esuleke, son two others over alleged murder

The masquerade custodian Chief Kayode Esuleke, his son, Ifasola and two others have been remanded for allegedly homicide of 1 Moshood Salawudeen in a mosque.

Recall that on June 27, masquerade worshippers in Osogbo allegedly attacked Kamorudeen Central Mosque, situated at Oluode Aranyin throughout an organised prayer for Nigeria.

Chief Esuleke who can also be a stalwart of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun state, his son, Kola Adeosun, Akeem Idowu, have been delivered to courtroom by the state prosecution division on August 5 however the proceedings have been stalled as a result of defendant being absent from courtroom.

The defendants have been charged on 13 counts of homicide, malicious injury, assault, breach of public struggle.

Nevertheless, all of them pleaded not responsible to the alleged offences pressed in opposition to them.

Justice Ayo Oyebiyi, who presided over the matter, ordered that they need to be remanded in Ilesa Correctional Facility and adjourned the matter until September twenty first, 2021 for consideration of bail.
