Bloody Tuesday in Imo, two traditional rulers gunned down by unknown gunmen, others abducted

Unknown gunmen on Tuesday night, opened hearth on conventional rulers having a gathering in Imo State and killed two of them within the course of.

Among the many monarchs confirmed useless have been the Obi 1 of Okwudor autonomous neighborhood, Eze E. Anayochukwu Durueburuo and Eze Sampson Osunwa of Ihebineowerre autonomous neighborhood.

The monarchs have been holding a stakeholders’ assembly on the Njaba Native Council headquarters at Nnenasam when the incident occurred.

It’s understood that the surviving conventional rulers have been left with various levels of accidents.

The armed males, who invaded the venue of the stakeholders assembly, in accordance with an eyewitness, moved into the corridor and left the 2 different conventional rulers of Nkume neighborhood and Eze Akpaka with damaged heads and palms.

An unconfirmed report mentioned among the monarchs at that stakeholders assembly have been taken away by the gunmen to an unknown vacation spot.

DAILY POST learnt that the council headquarters was in a state of shambles as on the time of submitting this report.

When contacted on cellphone, the police spokesperson within the state, Mike Abattam, mentioned that two monarchs had been confirmed useless and never 5 as claimed by some media experiences.

Within the meantime, the command had commenced investigation into the incident.
