Blasphemy: Those who killed Christian student Deborah Samuel in Sokoto must be made to face justice in line with the law
British excessive commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing, has condemned the killing of Deborah Samuel, a feminine Christian scholar of Shehu Shagari Faculty of Schooling, Sokoto state by a mob within the state over alleged blasphemy.
Laing who reacted to the killing through a tweet shared on Friday Could 13, stated those that killed the Christian scholar should be made to face justice consistent with the legislation.
She stated;
I condemn the homicide of Deborah Samuel in Sokoto, and urge the police and related authorities to make sure the perpetrators of this horrific act are made to face justice consistent with the legislation.
