Bandits kill Zamfara Poly lecturer after collecting N5m ransom
Bandits have killed Sanusi Halilu Kaura, a lecturer with the Abdu Gusau Polytechnic in Zamfara State after amassing 5 million naira ransom for his launch.
Sanusi, who doubles because the Dean of Pupil Affairs, was killed after 5 weeks within the fingers of his abductors.
The deceased, an indigene of Kaura Namoda Native Authorities Space of Zamfara State, was kidnapped alongside others on the troubled Kaduna-Abuja freeway.
Sanusi was stated to be on his method to Abuja for NYSC Mobilisation of the polytechnic college students.
A household supply who confirmed the event to TVC Information, stated N5m ransom was paid to the bandits on Tuesday, June 21, in a bush close to a vilage alongside Kaduna-Zaria street in Kaduna State.
It was gathered that the bandits confirmed his dying lower than 24 hours after cost of the ransom, a sign that he had been killed whereas negotiations for his launch was ongoing.
In the meantime, the administration of Abdu Gausau Polytechnic has declared three-day mourning interval in honour of the lecturer.
