Bandits becoming nuisance, will be dealt with urgently – Defence Minister, Magashi




The Minister of Defence, Bashir Magashi, has stated bandits working within the northwest have gotten a nuisance.

Magashi made the comment whereas hinting on the urgency to take care of bandits.

He made this public after President Muhammadu Buhari met with safety chiefs on the State Home on Tuesday.

Addressing reporters, the minister stated the insecurity challenges within the north are a reason behind concern to the nation’s management.

In keeping with Magashi: “From the assembly, we consider that the spate at which these items are taking place in Zamfara State and north-central is a supply of concern to the federal government and to all businesses which can be accountable for the execution of the operations within the north-central.

“We mentioned the necessity for urgency in our coping with the bandits. We consider they’re changing into a nuisance; killing individuals, they’re doing what they like, they make careless statements, they are saying what they suppose they need to say to be able to solicit the type of viewers they need from the society.”

The actions of bandits have been on the rise within the northern a part of the nation.

Colleges, spiritual centres and safety formations have been attacked by these bandits these days.

Zamfara, Kaduna, Niger, Sokoto, Kebbi, and Katsina states are worst-hit by the actions of banditry.
