Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has declared his intention to barter with bandits to establish their grievances and the options to the present safety challenges within the state.
Umahi disclosed this on the presentation of 40 Toyota Sienna automobiles and 20 Hilux vans to safety businesses for enhanced operations within the state.
Assaults by gunmen on Ebonyi communities have heightened pressure between herders within the state and their host communities.
Gunmen have additionally attacked a number of safety amenities within the state.
On the ceremony, the governor declared his intention to barter with the bandits to establish their grievances and the way in which ahead.
He additionally directed native authorities chairmen and the Christian Affiliation of Nigeria (CAN) to establish the gunmen and current them for debriefing.
