President Muhammadu Buhari has warned media homes in Nigeria to cease reporting irresponsible remarks.

Based on the President, the seeds of violence had been being planted within the heads of Nigerians.

Buhari warned that reckless utterances of some have led to losses of many harmless lives and destruction of properties.

In his Independence Day speech monitored by DAILY POST, Buhari stated “such unfiltered and unsubstantiated lies and hate speeches by just a few evil individuals should be stopped. Our media homes and commentators should transfer away from simply reporting irresponsible remarks to investigating the reality behind all statements and presenting the info to readers.

“We should all come out and converse towards the lies being peddled.”

The President additional counseled leaders who’ve promoted peaceable coexistence within the nation, including that “Nigeria is for all of us.”

“Nigeria’s unity will not be negotiable. And its final success can solely be achieved if all of us come along with a standard aim of getting peace and prosperity for our nation,” he stated.
