Auto Crash Kills 16 In Jigawa, 12 Burnt To Death




Over 15 folks have died on account of an accident involving two passenger buses in Birnin Kudu in Jigawa state.


Most of the our bodies have been burnt past recognition, SaharaReporters learnt on Wednesday. 

Eyewitnesses stated over 20 individuals died however the police stated 16 died. 

The accident occurred on Wednesday alongside Birninkudu-Kano street and the victims have been reportedly from Balangu city.

Jigawa police command confirmed the incident to journalists, saying the accident occurred round 6.30 am. 

Spokesperson for the command, Lawan Shisu stated two automobiles had a head-on collision which resulted in a fireplace outbreak.

Based on him, 12 of the passengers have been burnt past recognition whereas six of them died on the spot.

He stated solely one of many drivers of the automobiles survived the accident, and was on the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Birninkudu.
“Immediately, being June 9, 2021, at about 6:30 am, near Alu Farms Birninkudu LGA, two hummer buses had a head-on collision which resulted within the outbreak of fireplace.

“Twelve individuals have been burnt to loss of life and their stays couldn’t be recognized. A mass burial has been performed for his or her stays.

“Six others died immediately whereas their stays have been taken to FMC mortuary. However a driver survived the accident with a fracture on his leg,” he stated.
