At least 250 killed and scores wounded as earthquake hits Afghanistan

An earthquake has killed no less than 250 individuals and left scores injured in Afghanistan.
The earthquake – which hit through the early hours of Wednesday, June 22 as many individuals slept – was a magnitude 6.1 quake at a depth of some 51km, in keeping with the US Geological Survey.
The quake struck about 44km (27 miles) from the south-eastern metropolis of Khost.
