ASUU writes UNIJOS, demands probe and withdrawal of Minister’s certificate
The Tutorial Workers Union of Universities has written to the College of Jos, demanding a probe and the withdrawal of the doctorate diploma of the Minister of State for Training, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba.
The Minister disclosed this latest growth throughout an interview with Punch. Nwajiuba stated;
“ASUU wrote UNIJOS to recall my certificates. I’m not positive what it’s they’re pursuing. I used to be knowledgeable by the college that this was the directive from ASUU: to analyze my certificates. That’s how far they’ve gone.
Once I obtained the letter from the college, the truth is, the college didn’t cover it, they famous that ASUU wrote them.”
ASUU has been on strike since February 14, 2022 over the failure of the Federal authorities to fulfill their calls for which embrace college autonomy, the discharge of revitalization funds for Nigerian universities, and the deployment of the College Transparency Accountability and Answer cost platform for the cost of salaries and allowances of college lecturers amongst others.
