ASUU issue is not as simple as it seems – Lai Mohammed

The Federal Authorities has given indications that the lingering tussle between it and the Educational Employees Union of Universities (ASUU) is just not so simple as it seems.

 

The Minister of Data and Tradition, Lai Mohammed, stated this whereas chatting with state home correspondents after the Federal Govt Council (FEC) assembly chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari on June 15.

 

He stated that despite the complexities, so much is being executed behind the scene to resolve the problems. Mr. Mohammed argued that the Federal Authorities is worried concerning the protracted points with the lecturers and can proceed to work to seek out an early decision to the issue.

 

ASUU launched into its newest nationwide strike since February 14 over points bothering the adoption of the Built-in Personnel Payroll Data System (IPPIS), non-payment of salaries and allowances, and poor funding of universities amongst others.
