Anambra killings retrogressive – Shehu Sani




Senator Shehu Sani has reacted to latest killings in Anambra State.

The previous senator, who represented Kaduna Central within the Nationwide Meeting, wrote on his verified Fb wall on Tuesday, saying the violence and disruptions in Anambra are retrogressive.

Recall that there have been killings and burning of properties by hoodlums suspected to be political thugs.

The killings in Anambra State continued unabated on Thursday as six policemen have been shot lifeless by hoodlums regardless of the heavy presence of safety operatives in main cities of the state.

In Nnobi in Idemili South Native Authorities Space of the state, a automobile belonging to a member of the Home of Representatives for Nnewi North/South/ Ekwusigo, Chris Azubogu, was attacked and his driver killed.

The killings got here barely 48 hours after the ugly homicide of Dr Chike Akunyili, the widower of the late former Minister of Info, Prof. Dora Akunyili, and eight others within the state.

“The violence and disruptions within the Anambra electioneering campaigns are retrogressive to the state and the complete southeastern area. There isn’t a manner these killings can advance the reason for the area politically,” Shehu Sani stated.
