A former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has slammed the Lawyer-Basic of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, for proposing that the Nigerian authorities may impose a state of emergency in Anambra forward of the November 6 gubernatorial election.
Obi stated this whereas talking on Come up TV on Monday, saying it was ironic that the Nigerian authorities was contemplating a state of emergency in Anambra whereas Nigeria as an entire had been immersed in safety challenges.
“Saying that they need to declare a state of emergency in Anambra due to insecurity ought to truly imply that they should declare a state of emergency in Nigeria as a result of if you wish to declare a state of emergency in Anambra due to insecurity, it’s important to declare a state of emergency in Nigeria due to insecurity,” Obi stated.
He requested Malami to cease being partisan working for the All Progressives Congress (APC) however for the federal government.
