Amaechi, other face query over NPA’s N166.6 billion unremitted funds




The Public Account committee of the Home of Representatives has summoned the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi over unremitted funds of the Nigerian Ports Authority.


The Auditor-Normal for the federation, Adolphus Aghughu, had queried the account of the company, which is underneath the supervision of Ameachi.

It could be recalled that Hadiza Bala Usman, was suspended for allegedly failing to remit working surplus to the Consolidated Income Account.

The Auditor-Normal had within the report submitted to the Home Committee on Public Account, queried the account of NPA.

Ameachi was scheduled to seem earlier than the committee on Thursday, nevertheless, the requested extension of time, this was in response to Wole Oke, the chairman of the committee.
