Aisha Yusuf joins Ezekwesili call for Buhari’s mental health probe, says his attitude is strange
EndSARS campaigner, Aisha Yesufu, has joined the former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, demanding for Buhari’s health examination.
Ezekwesili had called for an assessment of the physical and mental capability of President Buhari over the affairs of the nation.
She demanded that a medical panel be set up to assess the President, adding that the condition of Nigeria has become too grave for citizens to sit still.
Reacting Aisha said that the President’s attitude towards the current situation in the country shows that he is not in full control of his mental faculties.
She accused the President of acting like a dictator thinking that the country is still in 1984.
The activist called for a medical evaluation of the President, stressing that he was not acting as a democratic leader.
She stated, “We need to check the mental capacity of President Muhammadu Buhari because he is not acting like someone who is in full control of his mental faculties. We need to know if the doctrine of necessity needs to be activated and we get the President out because he is not talking like somebody who knows he is in a democracy.
“He is probably retrogressive and thinks that this is 1984. The President needs to know that this is 2020 and Nigeria is under democracy and that there is a constitution that allows citizens to protest.”
She also knocked the president for not addressing the nation against the backdrop of the killing of over 78 rice farmers by insurgents in Borno State.
“The President is a man who watches his people being killed and he does nothing. Seventy- eight farmers were killed and Buhari could not address the nation. Sadly, the head of the terrorist group has addressed the nation and that should concern Nigerians,” Yesufu stated.
