Again, gunmen raze police station, kill two officers in Anambra




The Police Command in Anambra State have confirmed the killing of two of its personnel by unknown gunmen who attacked and razed the Divisional Police Station in Obosi, Idemili North of the state.


NAN reviews that DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO) within the State, who confirmed the assault to newsmen mentioned the attackers had after burning down the station, moved to the quarters the place they killed the 2 personnel within the early hours of Thursday.

Ikenga mentioned the Commissioner of Police within the state, Mr Chris Owolabi had dispatched a tactical workforce for on-the-spot evaluation of the incident.

“The tactical workforce led by an Assistant Commissioner of Police was directed to have an on-the-spot evaluation of the place.

“The workforce was equally informed to probably determine and apprehend the hoodlums that perpetrated the assault,” he mentioned.

Ikenga additional revealed that the our bodies of the 2 policemen had been deposited at a close-by morgue, including that investigation into the matter had started.
