Adamawa Assembly investigates Lunguda-Waja communal clashes



The Adamawa State Home of Meeting has established a five-man committee to look into the persisting battle between Lunguda and Waje communities in Guyuk and Lamurde native authorities areas.

The Meeting mandated the Committee to unravel the circumstances surrounding the perennial clashes and to proffer a permanent path to peace within the affected communities.

The Committee constituted in the course of the Meeting’s Tuesday sitting, has the Majority Chief, Hon Hammantukur Yetisuri(Jada Mbulo) as its Chairman, whereas Hon Myandassa Bauna (Lamurde), Hon. Bathiya Wesley (Hong), Hon Adwawa Donglock (Guyuk), and Hon Abdullahi Ahmadu (Leko Koma) are members.

The Committee has two weeks to hold out its investigation and submit its suggestions.

Speaker of the Meeting, Rt Hon Aminu Iya Abbas, who introduced the membership of the committee whereas presiding over the sitting, urged the committee to hold out its task with a honest thoughts.

The structure of the Committee adopted a matter of pressing public curiosity introduced earlier than the Meeting by the member representing the Lamurde constituency, Hon Myandassa Bauna.
